OPINION: Fyson on ... Barker's review and easing up housing supply

Monetary policy guru Kate Barker has provided such a thorough analysis of housing supply problems in her interim report that there is real hope of some well-informed recommendations in the final document. It is especially encouraging that she recognises the complexity of the issue and evinces no intention of making planners the scapegoats for scandalous housing shortages.
