REGENERATION BRIEF: Darlington business park given go-ahead

A 35ha business park on the outskirts of Darlington has been given the go-ahead by Darlington Borough Council. Phase one, which is scheduled to start next April, will provide a 10.8ha site for 31,500m2 of industrial space which can accommodate 880 jobs over the next seven years. The scheme is a key strand of the Darlington Gateway strategy to provide employment land and attract investment and jobs to the town and the Tees Valley.
