Planning Officers Society president to speak at rural planning conference

The president of the Planning Officers' Society is among the speakers confirmed for a conference next month which will examine the key issues facing the planning system in the countryside.

The British Institute of Agricultural Consultants (BIAC) National Rural Planning Conference 2017 will take place on 5 October at the Williams Conference Centre in Wantage, Oxfordshire.

The event will cover the policy, legal and practical aspects of the planning process.

Ingram will deliver a keynote speech on "Rural Planning – The Current Challenges". 

Other speakers will include Steve Quartermain, CBE, chief planner at the Department for Communities and Local Government; Ross Murray, president of the Country Land and Business Association; and Jill Scrivener of Bourne Rural Planning Consultancy.
