The Green and Pleasant Home Design Competition, part of the Sunday Times British Homes Awards 2017, which is run in partnership with Haymarket Media Group, is seeking submissions for a design competition for visionary designs for a standard house type suitable for the new generation of large scale communities planned by the government.

Submissions must be sympathetic enough to win over local opposition, yet inspirational enough to leave a legacy of places where people want to live.

Architects are encouraged to innovate while ensuring their submission is buildable, replicable and meets current UK building regulations and standards.

The closing date for entries is 22 June. More details can be found here.
