Factual error in undertaking sunlight assessment leads to quashing of planning permission

A decision of the London Borough of Hackney to grant planning permission for the erection of a three storey building adjacent to a primary school was struck down by the High Court, Mr Justice Gilbart concluding that an assumption used in a sunlight and shadow assessment submitted in support of the application and upon which the council had relied was factually incorrect.
