Mitigation required to offset highway impact

Two appeals involving up to 300 dwellings on two adjacent areas of land on the edge of a key service town in Cheshire were allowed, an inspector ruling that the development of greenfield land was necessary in view of the inability of the council to demonstrate a five-year supply, but provided financial contributions were made towards improving the A34 road.
