DCLG facing fresh spending cuts of up to 40%

Chancellor George Osborne has asked the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) and other Whitehall departments to propose budget reductions of up to 40 per cent and set out how they will sell off land to help meet a target to build up to 150,000 homes on public land by 2020.
