Offshore wind farm permitted due to economic benefits

A Section 36 Electricity Act application for a 750mw wind farm as part of a combined scheme of 326 turbines was permitted off the Moray and Aberdeenshire coast. Weight was given to the benefits to renewable energy and the Scottish economy and ecological support subject to measures to minimise the turbines' effect on the marine environment.
