Enhancements made to DCP Online's search facilities

As part of the recent DCP enhancements the following improvements have been carried out to the way your DCP Online search facility works.

Quick search

The quick search bar at the top of the DCP Online screen has changed with all search options except "word" being moved to the search tab. When you enter a term into the quick word search and hit the "Search Options" button you will automatically be taken to a screen where you can view all the search options available to you. This acts as a checklist to remind you that you can combine your search with other terms as well as limit your search to particular areas within DCP Online.

Refine your search
You can now filter your search requirements to one or more of the following areas:

  • All fields

  • Titles

  • DCP Chapters

  • Appendix

  • DCP Editor notes

This will allow you to produce a more refined results list.

The recent enhancements now mean you can also search through the Editors Notes. This allows you to find references to the most recent court cases, planning appeals, policy and guidance, so you will be able to quickly and conveniently search the latest updates made to the DCP chapter you are referencing.

For more information on how you can use the improved search function to generate more relevant and concise results click here for the user guide

If you would like to receive training on how to use these improved search functions call 01452 835 820 or email dcs@haymarket.com.

To fully utilise all these new enhancements, we recommend for DCP Online you use Internet Explorer version 9 or Firefox version 12. Previous versions may not display all items as intended, so we advise that you keep your search browser up-to-date.
