DCP Online updated to reflect NPPF

The National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) was published at the end of March and at DCP Online we wanted to reflect the changes introduced by the guidance as soon as possible, rather than wait until we next updated the relevant DCP chapter. Since it is important to include the changes alongside the kind of development they effect, we have updated the Editors Notes for the DCP Online section affected. To view these updates simply open Editors Notes (via the yellow button found in the top left of the reading panel) and scroll through to the section covering national guidance/ministerial advice. See below for an example of an updated DCP section in the Editors Notes.

In total we have updated around 114 development subsections of DCP Online, we reviewed the section impacted by the
NPPF and ensured this now reflects current guidance. Please note we have not yet updated Welsh or Scottish guidance, although you will find notes on any significant changes already included in the Editors Notes.

If you have not used the Editor Notes feature before or need any help with finding the NPPF updated text, perhaps you would like to take advantage of our free training sessions on getting the most out of your DCP Online subscription. Contact our trainer, Jolanta Hall on either 01452 835820 or via email dcs@haymarket.com and book a slot for you and your team.

Over the coming months we will keep you informed of how the main body of DCP Online will incorporate NPPF changes. If you have any questions about the NPPF and DCP Online please email me on martin.shingler@haymarket.com
