Planning Summer School fund application deadline approaches

Planners wishing to attend the annual Planning Summer School taking place in Swansea in September 2011, who may have difficulty attending due to disability, family commitments or unemployment, have until 30 June to apply for financial assistance.

Planners can also seek assistance if they are unable to have their place funded by their employer and have not attended Summer School before.

The 2011 school, themed Planning with Communities, takes place at Swansea University from 3-7 September.

To be in with a chance of receiving financial assistance, planners need to apply by 30 June by submitting a 500 word statement and the names of two referees.

Anyone interested in attending any part of the school should visit www.planningsummerschool.org.uk or call 01722 339811.

PSS is an independent charity run by volunteers aiming to advance learning in town and country planning.
