John Carleton has been appointed as the first chief executive of Local Partnerships, which aims to help local public bodies improve their ability to deliver high quality, cost-effective public services. Carleton was formerly a director at consultancy Pricewater-houseCoopers. He replaces interim chief executive Richard Buxton.
