London 2012 aquatics centre

Three contractors have been shortlisted by the Olympic Delivery Authority to deliver the construction contract for the London 2012 Aquatics Centre in east London. Balfour Beatty, Eiffel and Hochtief have been selected for the next stage of the competition. Construction work is due to start in 2008, the ODA said.
UPM Tilhill gets London park contract

Forestry and landscape construction firm UPM Tilhill has been awarded a £1.2 million contract to improve leisure and play facilities in a park in west London. The contract from the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea for work on Kensington Memorial Park includes creating a playground, building changing rooms and toilets, and replacing a paddling pool with a new water play area.
